lahia is an artist! her mediums: plant life, the elements, and community. my burghblooms subscription has brought me immeasurable joy this past year. her arrangements are positively stunning. as someone who loves flowers but doesn’t always love a standard grocery store bouquet, i so deeply appreciate the variety of color and texture i get in each arrangement. and to top it all off, i love knowing that i am supporting a small business owner who actively considers and works for her local community every step along the way! 10/10, would recommend burghblooms!!!

I wasn't even thinking about flowers when I saw an email announcing a new flower subscription business, called Burghblooms, opening up nearby. I had never heard of a flower subscription business before, but I thought it was a great idea and was eager to give it a try. After the first arrangement, I was hooked. The flowers are so beautiful. My family thinks they are wonderful. I keep them on the table behind me as I work, so they appear in my video calls. I often get compliments on them from my colleagues. As soon as I had the opportunity to sign up for the next season, I did. Once that fall season ended, I knew I would be signing up again in the spring. This year I signed up for all three seasons: spring, summer, and fall, and I'm planning to do it again next year. I can't wait

I love cut flower arrangements but the ones for purchase in stores often feel mass-produced and impersonal.  So as soon as I heard about Burghblooms, I knew I had to subscribe.  Because these flowers are locally grown, each bouquet contains an interesting and unique seasonal variety; the flowers in June are not the same as those in August.  Everything is colorful and beautifully arranged.  I appreciate that the entire process is easy, from choosing a subscription package to picking up the flowers.  And it’s wonderful to have the opportunity to support a Pittsburgh-based business that is concerned about the environment and social justice.
